Glasgow: A van has flipped over on Kingston Bridge. This happened during Storm Éowyn, which is bringing some wild winds. We’re talking speeds up to 100mph!
Traffic Scotland reported that several lanes are closed. This accident occurred around noon on the westbound side. A bystander even caught footage of the van on its side.
Right now, it’s unclear if anyone got hurt. The Met Office has issued a serious red warning for dangerous winds today. The storm is causing a lot of trouble, leaving many homes without power.
Schools, nurseries, and businesses across Glasgow are closed. Plus, travel is a mess. Trains, buses, ferries, and flights are all getting canceled.
A spokesperson from Travel Scotland advised drivers to be careful as they approach the Kingston Bridge. Stay safe out there!
