A grandad and his grandson have gone missing while heading to see family, prompting a public appeal for help in Springburn
Volodymr Sobchuk, 80, and his grandson Yoroslav Prokhyra, 18, were last seen around 10:40 AM on Sunday. They were in the Balgrayhill Road area. They were supposed to meet family in Bishopbriggs but never showed up.
Police are really worried about them. They describe both men as vulnerable. It’s not like them to go missing without a word.
Volodymr is 5 feet 11 inches tall, with short white hair. He wore a dark-blue jacket and blue jeans. He had a yellow backpack with him.
Yoroslav is also 5 feet 11 inches tall, with short brown hair. He was last seen in a black jacket and grey trousers. He had a brown backpack.
The two are known to hang out in Bishopbriggs, Kirkintilloch, and Glasgow city center.
Sergeant Andrew Caldwell said they are doing everything they can to find them. He urged anyone with information to call Police Scotland at 101. They need help to bring Volodymr and Yoroslav home safely.
