Surrey Police has shared new details about the ongoing murder investigation in Ashford, following a tragic incident that left a woman dead.
Ashford: A man is still in custody after a woman was killed. This happened four days ago. The police were called to Woodthorpe Road on January 16.
When they arrived, they found a woman in her 20s and a two-year-old girl with serious injuries. Sadly, the woman died at the scene. The little girl was taken to the hospital and is now stable.
Police say the man in his 30s is still being questioned. They are looking into what happened and are waiting to formally identify the woman.
People in Ashford are shocked. They’ve seen a lot of police activity and can’t believe something like this happened in their usually quiet town.
