Storm Éowyn is hitting Glasgow hard with 90mph winds and a red warning. Stay safe and keep an eye on updates as conditions worsen.
Glasgow: Storm Éowyn is set to unleash some serious winds on Friday. The Met Office has issued a red warning, which means it’s dangerous out there.
They’re predicting gusts up to 89mph. That’s no joke! The red warning covers Glasgow and surrounding areas like Lanarkshire and Ayrshire.
Expect roofs to be blown off and trees to fall. Driving will be risky, and you might see power lines down. Roads and railways could be closed, too.
This red warning is in effect from 10am to 5pm on Friday. After that, an amber warning kicks in from 1pm Friday until 6am Saturday.
There’s also a yellow warning for wind throughout the weekend. So, keep your plans flexible and stay safe out there!
Oh, and the yellow snow warning for Friday has been lifted, but it’s still in place for Argyll and Bute. Just a heads up!
