Glasgow: ScotRail has decided to cancel all services tomorrow due to Storm Eowyn. They’re warning everyone about extreme weather conditions.

No trains will run anywhere in Scotland on Friday. Plus, there won’t be any alternative transport options available. Safety is their main concern, especially with the Met Office issuing a red weather warning for wind.

ScotRail mentioned that the weather could be worse than expected. They’re worried about trees and debris falling on the tracks, which makes it unsafe to run trains.

They also said that trains could get stuck, making recovery times longer. After the storm, Network Rail will check the tracks before services can start again.

If your journey is canceled or disrupted, you can use your ticket from Thursday until Tuesday. You can also get a refund for any unused tickets without a fee.

The Met Office warns that the red weather warning is in effect from 10 am to 5 pm on Friday. This covers Glasgow and surrounding areas.

There’s also an amber warning from 1 pm Friday to 6 am Saturday, with risks of flying debris and power cuts. Glasgow will have a yellow warning throughout the weekend.

Mark Ilderton from ScotRail said safety is their top priority. They know this will affect many customers, but it’s necessary for everyone’s safety.

Once the storm passes, Network Rail will work hard to check everything and make repairs. ScotRail will keep everyone updated through their website and social media.
