Guildford: Pride in Surrey just dropped some exciting news for 2025! They’re heading back to Guildford for this year’s pride event. The town showed so much love last time, and it’s great to see them return.
Last year was a blast, even with the rain. It was the fifth anniversary, and the first pride event in Guildford. People came out in droves, marching through the high street, despite the soggy weather. Music and dancing filled the air, making it a memorable day.
This time, they’re hoping for better weather as they plan to host the parade and festival at Stoke Park again. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 6! The parade will kick off in Guildford’s historic High Street and head towards the park.
Stoke Park will be buzzing with live performances from amazing queer artists and allies. Plus, there’ll be a lively marketplace with tons of local vendors and delicious food options. Last year, the marketplace was a hit, and they’re expecting even more stalls this time around.
Councillor Catherine Houston is thrilled about Pride returning to Guildford. She mentioned how wonderful it was to host the event last year and can’t wait for another colorful celebration. It’s all about making everyone feel welcome and celebrating the community.
