A pedestrian in Guildford was seriously hurt in a hit and run. Police are seeking witnesses to help with the investigation into the incident.

Guildford: A pedestrian in his 70s was hit by a car in the town center. This happened near the Riverside Business Centre on Friday evening.

The poor guy was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Sadly, the driver didn’t stop after the crash. It all went down between 6:20 PM and 6:40 PM on Walnut Tree Close.

Now, Surrey Police is asking for help. They want to talk to anyone who saw what happened. They’re especially interested in a black Mercedes SUV that was around before the crash.

A man in his 60s has been arrested. He’s suspected of drink driving and causing serious injury. He’s been released but is still under investigation.
