Surrey will see overnight road closures on the A3, M25, and M3 this week, affecting travel times for many drivers heading to local airports.
National Highways is doing this to improve major routes in Surrey. A lot of folks travel through here daily, especially to and from London or the airports.
If you’re driving to Heathrow or Gatwick, expect delays. You’ll need to plan for extra time on your journey.
Diversions are set up for drivers. National Highways suggests following the yellow signs instead of your sat nav, which might not show the right detours.
On Tuesday, January 21, the M25 will have closures between junctions 8 and 9 from 10 PM to 5:30 AM. The M3 will also have closures at junctions 2 and 3 during similar hours.
Wednesday, January 22, will see the M3 closed between junctions 4a and 3 from 9 PM to 6 AM.
On Thursday, January 23, the A3 will be closed from Hindhead Tunnel to Thursley from 9 PM to 6 AM.
Friday, January 24, will have more closures on the A3 and M25, with similar hours.
Saturday, January 25, will see the M3 southbound exit slip road closed at junction 3 from 9 PM to 6 AM.
Good news for Sunday, January 26: no closures are planned on the M25, A3, or M3.
