Ryanair plans to implement all-digital boarding passes soon, leaving printed ones behind. Expect big changes for travelers this summer.
Glasgow: Ryanair is shaking things up with its boarding pass rules. They’re going fully digital soon. This change is expected to roll out by May.
Ryanair’s CEO, Michael O’Leary, is pushing for this shift. He wants to eliminate printed boarding passes altogether. Travel expert Eoghan Corry warns that this could cause chaos.
He mentioned that many travelers still rely on printed passes. Even if it’s a small percentage, that’s still a lot of people. Imagine the confusion when they can’t use them anymore!
Right now, you can get your boarding pass through the Ryanair app after checking in. But if you’re flying from Morocco, you’ll still need a printed one.
For those without a printer, Ryanair can print it for you, but it’ll cost you. The fees can add up quickly, so it’s best to be prepared.
To check in digitally, just log into the Ryanair app or website. It’s pretty straightforward, but you have to do it yourself or have someone who knows your luggage do it for you.
Ryanair is expected to share more details about these changes soon. So, keep an eye out if you’re planning to fly with them this summer!
