McGill’s is raising bus ticket prices in Glasgow starting January 27 due to rising costs, but they promise to keep offering good value for regular travelers
Glasgow: McGill’s bus company is hiking ticket prices soon. Starting January 27, you’ll pay more for all types of tickets. This includes single, return, and day tickets.
The price increase is at least 10p. For example, a single trip will now cost £1.95 instead of £1.85. Other fares are also going up, like the City Day Saver, which will be £3.60.
McGill’s says they need to raise prices to handle rising costs. They want to invest in better buses and pay fair wages. They still believe they offer good value, especially for regular riders.
If you’re between five and 21, you can still travel for free with a Young Scot Card. McGill’s is making these changes to keep up with inflation in the transport sector.
They’ve reviewed their pricing and decided to adjust fares for single, return, and bundle tickets. You can check the full list of new prices online.
