Glasgow: The Subway in Glasgow is taking a break because of Storm Eowyn. They’ve decided to stop all services during the storm’s peak.

The Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) said no Subway trains will run until at least 6 PM tomorrow. They’re being cautious, and it makes sense.

Buchanan Bus Station will stay open, but only a few buses will operate. Local bus services are also on hold from 9 AM to 6 PM.

The weather is expected to be wild, with winds hitting up to 90 mph. The Met Office has even issued a rare red warning for the city.

SPT hopes to get everything back to normal by 6 PM. Valerie Davidson, the SPT Chief Executive, mentioned that they had to prioritize safety.

She said it wasn’t an easy choice, but with the storm’s severity, they had to look out for everyone. It’s just not safe for staff to travel during such conditions.

Scotrail has also canceled all services for Friday, and other bus companies are following suit. Stay safe out there!
