Glasgow: The University of Strathclyde is heartbroken. They recently lost a student, Sravanthi Karingula, just a day before her 23rd birthday.

Her family shared that she died after an accident on January 13. Sravanthi was a postgraduate student in business administration. The university called her an “inspiration” to everyone.

Mouhamad Shaker Ali Agha, a program director, expressed deep sadness. He said Sravanthi brought positivity and inspiration to those around her. Her passion for learning was clear, and she will be missed.

Her cousin, Latha Reddy, described her as ambitious. Sravanthi came to Glasgow with dreams of a bright future. Sadly, her journey ended too soon, leaving her family in deep grief.

Latha mentioned that the family wants to bring Sravanthi back to India for her final rites. They wish to honor her memory according to their traditions.

A fundraising campaign to repatriate her to Hyderabad raised over £11,000. Latha thanked everyone who donated. The funds will help bring Sravanthi home and provide comfort to her family during this tough time.

Arrangements for her repatriation are now in progress.
