Glasgow: A mum is thrilled to have her baby girl, Hope, home after a tough start. Hope was born at just 23 weeks and weighed only 461 grams. Sadly, her twin sister, Faith, didn’t make it.

After spending 153 days in Glasgow Children’s Hospital, Hope is finally home. Katie, her mum, shared how overwhelming the experience was. She said everything happened so fast, and it felt like a blur.

Hope faced many challenges, including a brain bleed and surgery. Katie described it as a rollercoaster ride. But thanks to the amazing hospital staff, Hope pulled through.

The family hoped to be home for Christmas, but it didn’t happen. They spent Christmas Eve in the hospital, which turned out to be a lovely experience.

Now, they’re excited to start the new year together. Katie expressed how Hope helped them cope with the loss of her sister. They’re taking it one day at a time, hoping for a happy life for their little girl.

The NICU staff are also thrilled to see Hope go home. They feel privileged to have cared for her and look forward to hearing about her progress. It’s a heartwarming story of resilience and love.
