Woking: A 22-year-old guy named Alpay Seydali got himself in big trouble. He was caught with cocaine hidden in a sock and over £2,000 in cash. This all happened during a police patrol in Surrey back in September 2024.

The police stopped his car as part of their regular checks. When they searched him and the vehicle, they found £2,270 in cash. But that wasn’t all. They also discovered a black sock stuffed with bags of cocaine hidden in an air vent.

On January 17, 2025, Seydali was sentenced to 18 months in prison at Chichester Crown Court. The judge decided that the cash found with him would be forfeited.

Surrey Police mentioned that the seized money will go to a mental health charity called The Young People’s Shop in Chichester.

PC Chris West, who was involved in the case, said this sentencing is a win for the community. He emphasized how important it is for people to report any suspicious activity.
