Cambuslang: A 34-year-old man named Mark Gray has been in court. He’s facing ten charges linked to a fire at a flat. This happened on Mill Road on January 16.

The charges include serious assault and wilful fireraising. Two women, aged 41 and 16, were hurt and had to go to the hospital. Thankfully, they were released later.

Gray is now in custody and will appear in court again soon. The community is rallying around the family affected by the fire. A fundraiser has already raised nearly £5,000 to help them out.

Robert Kennedy started the fundraiser, hoping to support the family who lost everything. He mentioned how tough this time is for them, especially for the mother and her kids.

Detective Inspector Gary Smillie thanked the local residents and emergency services for their help. It’s great to see the community come together in tough times like these.
